The LUXE Rooftop Tent is built for adventure with premium materials, clever design, and everything you need for reliable comfort in the wild. It’s our end-opening model and offers the same high-spec performance as the D-LUXE in a slightly narrower profile—ideal for vehicles with tighter roof space or those wanting a lower profile setup.
The outer shell is constructed from custom honeycomb aluminium panels with four internal reinforcement braces for added structural strength. All shell components are finished with an industrial-grade Dulux® powder coating system, while Sikaflex® sealers are applied to all joints for outstanding corrosion resistance and UV protection. An industrial-grade automotive weather seal provides full environmental sealing, and underfloor vent panels allow the tent to breathe even while closed. T-slot channels run the full perimeter, making it easy to mount Fantail Awnings securely using our custom bracket system.
All hardware is CNC-machined anodised aluminium, including our own lockable, adjustable seal pressure latches. The gas struts are made from 316 marine-grade stainless steel and rated to 500N, providing a stable and secure lift system, even in strong winds. These can be upgraded to 650N for additional support when loading your tent with roof racks, solar panels, boards, or kayaks. Optional gas strut locks are also available.
The LUXE features a full-length roof T-slot extrusion, ready to accommodate optional solar panels and roof racks. Internally, the tent comes equipped with integrated lighting and power. A built-in switch panel includes USB, Type C, and cigarette lighter sockets, with a fabric cover to block out light during sleep. The switch is positioned near the entry door for easy access, and the system connects via Anderson plug, allowing flexibility with various power sources including portable phone banks. A high-mounted 12V airflow fan is included, with two-way, three-speed control to circulate air and reduce condensation.
The tent includes four anti-condensation packs to help protect the interior long-term, and it’s compatible with our optional 12V and solar power kits. Our 270W square solar panels are designed to maximise roof space, and the plug-and-play wiring system makes installation quick and easy.
The main fabric body is made from blackout breathable 300GSM polycotton for privacy and ventilation. All windows and doors are fitted with insect mesh, and side windows feature a convenient one-zip drop system that opens both the mesh and solid panels together. A built-in heater duct allows for warm air circulation during winter trips or to help dry out the interior.
Storage is well considered, with rear and side pocket panels plus an external shoe pocket. The outer rainfly is made from 600D polyester in a light grey tone to minimise interior heat and includes roll-up awnings over the doors and windows for flexible ventilation and fast pack-down.
The mattress system features three layers of comfort: 40mm high-density base foam, 20mm memory foam, and a 10mm anti-condensation layer. It’s finished with a soft, plush machine-washable top cover and a waterproof base and sides—delivering a high level of sleep comfort even in rugged conditions.
The 2.3m telescopic ladder is fully height-adjustable and designed for comfort, with extra-wide rungs that are ideal for barefoot use. It includes anti-rattle ladder receivers to reduce noise during movement and a simple one-click collapse mechanism for fast pack-down. Each ladder comes with a heavy-duty waterproof travel cover and a sand brush to help clean your ladder and feet before climbing in. A 2.6m ladder is also available for taller vehicles.
